Quadratic functions are the functions which can be written in the general form of f(x)=ax2 + bx + c. Quadratic

functions form a U-shaped parabola when graphed on an X-Y plane. Quadratic functions calculator is the

online tool which can give the solution to any quadratic function easily.

Example 1: Factor the given quadratic function, f(x) = x2 – 10x + 21.

Given quadratic function -> f(x) = x2 – 10x + 21

In order to factor the given quadratic function, we should first find two numbers!

The two numbers should multiply and give -> 21

The two numbers should add and give -> -10

-3 * -7 = +21 and -> -3 – 7 = -10

Hence the quadratic function can be factored as,

f(x) = x2 – 10x + 21 -> f(x) = (x – 3) (x – 7)

Example 2: Factor the given quadratic function, f(x) = x2+ 4x - 32

Given quadratic function -> f(x) = x2+ 4x - 32

In order to factor the given quadratic function, we should first find two numbers!

The two numbers should multiply and give -> -32

The two numbers should add and give -> +4

8 * -4 = -32 and -> +8 – 4 = 4

Hence the quadratic function can be factored as,

f(x) = x2+ 4x – 32 ->  f(x) = (x + 8) (x - 4)
