A polynomial is a function with a variable which only has positive integer exponents. A polynomial can consist a single term, two terms, three terms or more than three terms. The Polynomial calculator is an online tool used to simplify or evaluate the value of the polynomial function.

**Example 1: Simplify the polynomial expression, 4x**^{2 }+ 3x – 2x^{2} + 9 - 6x + 1.

In order to simplify any given polynomial expression, we should first combine the like terms.

In the above given question, we can combine the terms with the exponent ‘2’ together and the terms with the exponent ‘1’ together and the constants together!

4x^{2 }+ 3x – 2x^{2} + 9 - 6x + 1 = (4x^{2}– 2x^{2}) + (3x -6x) + (9 +1)

**= 2x**^{2} – 3x + 10 is the simplified form!

In the above given question, we can combine the terms with the exponent ‘2’ together and the terms with the exponent ‘1’ together and the constants together!

4x

To evaluate the value of the polynomial function, we should simply plug-in the value of ‘x’ in the given expression!

So we get, 3x^{3 }+ 2x^{2} – 4x + 8 = 3 (2^{3}) + 2 (2^{2}) – 4 (2) + 8

3 (8) + 2 (4) – 8 + 8

24 + 8 + 0 = 32

**‘32’ is the value of the given polynomial when x = 2!**

So we get, 3x

3 (8) + 2 (4) – 8 + 8

24 + 8 + 0 = 32
