Factoring calculator used to finding the multiples of a number. Factors are the numbers used to multiply the numbers we will get another number. Prime factorization is multiplying the prime numbers to get the original number. A number may have two or more factors called composite number. A number is having only two factors called as prime number.
 

Example 1: Find the prime factors for number 30.

Solution : Prime factors are the prime numbers and multiples of 30

     30 = 2 * 15

     30 = 2* 3 * 5  ( since 15 = 3 *5 )

     So the Prime factors for number 30 will be 2,3 and 5.
 


Example 2 : Find the factors for number 56.

Solution : Factors for number 56 can be calculated as shown below

                 56 = 2 * 28

                 56 = 2 * 2 * 14  ( since 28 = 2 * 14 )

                 56 =  2 * 2 * 2 * 7  (since 14 = 2 * 7 )

     So the factors for number 56 will be in exponent form 2 ^3 * 7
