 Inequality is the equation which has less than or greater than symbols in it rather than the plain equality sign,

that means '<' and '>' respectively. Linear inequalities are the inequalities where the degree of the variables

is one. The online tool used to solve the linear inequalities is the linear inequalities calculator.

Example 1: Find the solution of the linear inequality 2 x - 10 > 14.

Given is the equation with one unknown variables x.

2 x - 10 > 14 is a linear inequality with greater than sign.

Add 10 on both sides of the equation.

2x - 10 + 10 > 14 + 10 -> 2 x > 24

Now divide by 2 on both sides of the equation.

2x/2 > 24/2 -> x>12.

Hence the solution to the linear inequality is x>12.

Example 2: Find the solution of the linear inequality 7z - 2 < 19.

Given is the equation with one unknown variables z.

7z - 2 < 19 is a linear inequality with less than sign.

Add 2 on both sides of the equation.

7z - 2 + 2 < 19 + 2 -> 7z< 21

Now divide by 7 on both sides of the equation.

7z/7 < 21/7 -> z < 3.

Hence the solution to the linear inequality is z < 3.
