The full form of GCD is Greatest Common Divisor. GCD of two or more numbers is the number which is highest common factor for all the given numbers. To find GCD, we have to first take the prime factorization of given numbers. GCD calculator is the fun tool which can find the GCD of the given numbers instantly.

Example 1: Find the GCD of the numbers 12, 18 ad 30.

In order to find the GCF, first the prime factorization of all the three numbers has to be written.

Then GCD is the number which is the common shared factor between the three numbers.

Prime factorization of 12 = 2 * 2 * 3
Prime factorization of 18 = 2 * 3 * 3
Prime factorization of 30 = 2 * 3 * 5

GCD of these numbers = 2 * 3 = 6

Example 2: Find the GCD of the numbers 48, 60 and 84.

In order to find the GCD, first the prime factorization of all the three numbers has to be written.

Then GCD is the number which is the common shared factor between the three numbers.

Prime factorization of 48 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3
Prime factorization of 60 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5
Prime factorization of 84 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 7
GCD of these numbers = 2 * 2 * 3 = 12
