Fraction Calculator is a tool which can be used to convert numbers to fraction form. A fraction is a number which can be written in the form of “p/q”. Here ‘p’ is the numerator which can be any integer and ‘q’ is the denominator which can be any integer except 0.

Example: Write the answer in fraction form when 24 is divided by 16.

Given: 24/16 =?

First prime factorize the numerator and the denominator to get answer in fraction.

24 = 2*2*2*3

16 = 2*2*2*2

Now since the numbers are divided with each other, cancel out the numbers which are common in both numerator and the denominator.

So hence we cancel the following: 2, 2, and 2 get cancelled, leaving us with 3/2 only.

Hence when 24 is divided by 16, fraction is 3/2.

Example: Write the fraction when 32 is divided by 20.

Given: 32/20=?

Prime factorize 32 and 20 to get the answer in fraction.

32 = 2*2*2*2*2
20 = 2*2*5

The number which are common in both numerator and denominator are 2, 2.
So cancel out the common numbers and multiply the numbers remaining in the numerator and denominator.

2*2*2
5

So the fraction form when 32 is divided by 20 is 8/5
