Exponent is the value to which a number or a variable is raised. An exponential equation is the equation

containing exponents and we have to solve for the unknown variable involved in the equation. The online tool

used to find the answer to the given exponent equation is called as exponent equation calculator.

Example 1: Given exponential equation: 2x = 16. Solve for ‘x’.

For the above exponent equation, ‘2’ is the base and ‘x’ is the exponent.

Since ‘x’ is an unknown variable, we have to solve for its value.

Here ‘16’ can be simplified and written with its base as ‘2’.

 16 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 > 16 = 24

2x = 16 > 2x = 24

Since the bases are same, powers can be equated!

x = 4

Example 2: Given exponential equation: 5x = 252. Solve for ‘x’.

For the above exponent equation, ‘5’ is the base and ‘x’ is the exponent.

Since ‘x’ is an unknown variable, we have to solve for its value.

Here ‘25’ can be simplified and written with its base as ‘5’.

 25 =5 * 5 > 25 = 52

5x = 252 > 5x = (52)2 >  5x = 54

Since the bases are same, powers can be equated!

x = 4
