A number or a variable ‘a’ when it is raised to a power ‘x’, then ‘x’ is called the ‘exponent’ and is written as ‘ax’. These numbers

with exponents can also be divided with each other. Dividing exponent’s calculator is the online tool which can divide these

numbers and can evaluate its value.

Example 1: Divide the numbers, 68 by 65.

Dividing the given two numbers with exponents, the expression looks like this  68/ 65

Here we can observe that the bases are the same, ‘6’ in the numerator and in the denominator.

According to the Law of Exponents, since bases are same and are divided with each other, hence their exponents are

subtracted.

am/ an = am – n

68/ 65 = 68 – 5

63 = 6 * 6 * 6 = 216

Hence 68/ 65 = 216

Example 2: Divide the numbers, 53 by 32

Dividing the given two numbers with exponents, the expression looks like this  53/ 32

Here we can observe that the bases are not the same, base ‘5’ in the numerator and base ‘3’ in the denominator.

Since the bases are not the same, hence we cannot apply the Law of exponents.

But we can expand and simplify the given numbers  53 = 5 * 5 * = 125

And 32 = 3 * 3 = 9

53/ 32 = 125/9 = 13.9
