 A circle is a closed figure having a round curve around it and a center point. The line segment joining any two points on the circle also passing through the center is called the Diameter of the circle. Diameter calculator is the simple online tool which can give results to calculations based on diameter of a circle.

Example 1: Given the area of the circle is 12.57cm2. Find the diameter of the circle.

 Area of a circle is, A = π * r2 where ‘r’ is the radius of the circle.

Given the area of the circle, A = 12.57cm2

                            12.57 = π*r2

Now solve for radius  r2 = 12.57/π   r2 = 4

                    r = √4   radius, r = 2cm

 Diameter of a circle = 2 * radius of the circle

 Diameter of the circle, d = 2 * 2   Diameter, d = 4cm

Example 2: Given the circumference of the circle is 24m. Find the diameter of the circle.

Circumference of a circle, C = 2 * π * r

Given the circumference of the circle, C= 24m

                          24 = 2 * π * r

Now solve for radius  r = 24/ (2π)

                       radius, r = 3.8m

 Diameter of a circle = 2 * radius of the circle

 Diameter of the circle, d = 2 * 3.8  Diameter, d = 7.6m
