Radian is the measurement of angle and it is defined as the angle subtended by the circular arc at the center with the help of
radius. Degree is also a unit of measurement for angle and they can be converted to each other. Convert radians to degrees
calculator is the online tool which can give the value of this conversion.
Example 1: Convert the angle π/6 radians to degrees.
Given the value of an angle = π/6
If taken a circle, there are ‘π’ radians in a semi-circle.
The angle at the center made by a semi-circle is also 180°.
Hence we can say that π radians = 180°
To convert the given π/6 radians to degree measurement, we take
(π/6) * (180°/π) π in the numerator and in the denominator cancel each other.
180°/6 = 30°
Hence π/6 radians = 30°
Example 2: Convert the angle 3π/4 radians to degrees.
Given the value of an angle = 3π/4
We know that π radians = 180°
There are many ways of converting radians to degrees as π radians = 180°,
2π radians = 360° which is angle in a complete circle!
Hence any of the values can be taken as a standard for converting.
(3π/4) * (180°/π) π in the numerator and in the denominator cancel each other.
(3 * 180°)/4 = 135°
Hence 3π/4 radians = 135°
