There are different types of fractions and among them there are fractions where a fraction is written in the numerator part, or a fraction is written in the denominator part or a fraction is present in both the numerator and the denominator. Such kinds of fractions are called Complex fractions. Complex fractions calculator is the fun tool which helps in simplifying them.

**Example 1: Convert the given complex fraction (3/4) / (5/6) into a simple fraction.**

First since in the numerator there is already a fraction, we can keep that fraction the same way.

But the fraction in the denominator has to be simplified and hence we find it’s reciprocal!

**The reciprocal of 5/6 is 6/5**

Now multiply the reciprocal with the fraction in the numerator:

(3/4) * (6/5)

(3 * 6) / (4 * 5) = 18/20

**18/20 can be simplified further to 9/10 which is a simple fraction!**

**Example 2: Convert the given complex fraction (2/ 5) / (3/10) into a simple fraction.**

First since in the numerator there is already a fraction, we can keep that fraction the same way.

But the fraction in the denominator has to be simplified and hence we find it’s reciprocal!

**The reciprocal of 3/10 is 10/3**

Now multiply the reciprocal with the fraction in the numerator:

(2/5) * (10/3)

(2 * 10) / (5 * 3) = 20/15

**20/15 can be simplified further to 4/3 which is a simple fraction!**
