The representation of a chemical reaction in-between the given reactants and formed products is called as chemical equation. The reactants are written to the right side and the products to the left side and the coefficient of the compounds need to be balanced. The calculator tool used to find the balanced equation of the reactants and products is called as the chemical equation calculator.
Example 1: Balance H2 + O2 > H2O?
In the chemical equation the reactants on the right hand side are H2 and O2.
This gives 2 hydrogen atoms and 2 oxygen atoms on the right.
Similarly there is H2O on the left hand side
This gives 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom to the left.
First step balancing the oxygen's by changing the coefficient of H2O to 2.
This makes 4 hydrogen's on the left.
Hence the coefficient of H2 changes to 2.
Therefore, 2H2 + O2 > 2H2O.
Example 2: Balance Mg + O2èMgO?
In the chemical equation the reactants on the right hand side are Mg and O2.
This gives 1 Magnesium atom and 2 oxygen atoms on the right.
Similarly there is MgO on the left hand side
This gives 1 Magnesium and 1 oxygen to the left.
First step balancing the oxygen by changing the coefficient of MgO to 2.
This makes 2 Magnesium on the left.
Hence the coefficient of Mg changes to 2.
Therefore, 2Mg + O2 > 2MgO.
