Centripetal force can be calculated in circular motion or in a motion of an abject on a curve. Centripetal force acts from the center of the circular path of a given radius, on an object moving with a specified amount of velocity. Example 1: Find the centripetal force on an object with mass 5 kg moving in a circular path of radius 25 m with the velocity 15 m/s. 

The centripetal force for a given object can be calculated by the formula

Force = mass * velocity2/ Radius.

In the given question:

Mass of the object = 5 kg, travelling velocity = 15 m/s

Radius of the circular path = 25 m.

Therefore, Centripetal force = 5 * 152 / 25 = 45 N


Example 2: Find the centripetal force on a object with mass 10 Kg moving in a circular path of radius 12 m with the velocity 6 m/s. 

The centripetal force for an given object can be calculated by the formula

Force = mass * velocity2/ Radius.

In the given question:

Mass of the object = 10 kg, travelling velocity = 6 m/s

Radius of the circular path = 12 m.

Therefore, Centripetal force = 10 * 62 / 12 = 30 N
